The Kopparberg brewery was founded in 1882 in the small town of Kopparberg, Sweden. A pioneer, Kopparberg was the first fruit cider and is now sold in more than 30 countries around the world. The Swedish brewery remains independent and is today owned by the Bronsman family.

In 2023, the unique taste of Asahi Super Dry was shared with rugby fans across Ireland thanks to its sponsorship of the Rugby World Cup. The brand will remain the principal partner for all Rugby World Cups (men and women) until 2029.
